Lucas left this city with nothing but frustration.
Well, frustration and a bunch of heavy DUPs following his trail. He had been there barely a few hours and ..everything went wrong that could have gone wrong. Bumping into the wrong people, causing a MESS, attracting even worse people to the scene. Overall lets say.. he’s had better days.
One might think he should have been used to it until now, knowing how to ‘lay low’ and keep himself out of trouble. But somehow it went south every damn time and he was so tired of running away. And getting shot. Yelled after. Getting called an abomination. And having to deal with stupid, angry people in general. Ugh.. he needed a break from all this.
That’s why he didn’t stop running on light when he reached the edge of the city, he left this darn place with all its DUPs and angry people and horrible weather and cranky citizens. It cost a lot of energy and in the end he felt burned out, tired as hell.
Lucas wasn’t sure if they would follow him that far out into the woods, but at least he might have some time and peace to regenerate. Without a proper light source it would take a lot of time though. Not really the best idea maybe. A minute later it just started to rain as well. Well, fuck my life.
With his jacket held over his head he searched for a suitable tree to stay under - but a few steps deeper into the field he found something better. A wooden house, more like a cabin. Oh yes, please. He could stay there for a while and rest, at least until the rain stopped.
Lucas was too exhausted and in need of some quiet place, he didn’t even think about the possibility the cabin could be occupied already - he used a halfway open window as a door and literally crashed onto the couch standing below, instantly falling asleep.
